Project Description
MOVE is a community-driven video platform for fitness enthusiasts in Southeast Asia—positioned among the region's early platforms blending on-demand video, free livestreaming, and community rewards in one experience. Anyone can watch workouts and live sessions on the web, while contributors earn rewards for strengthening the community. Key engagement features include cheering livestreamers using REP$ (platform currency), real-time live chat, and a creator pathway where users become MOVERS by uploading and sharing their own workout videos.
Key Technical Decisions
Built a streaming-optimized delivery path using DigitalOcean Spaces + CDN + object storage, improving playback consistency and reducing load on core servers
Designed a scalable content workflow for video upload, processing, and publishing with performance-first UX
Implemented autoscaling on DigitalOcean to handle demand spikes while keeping infrastructure cost-effective
Established zero-downtime CI/CD with Bitbucket Pipelines to release safely without interrupting active sessions
Applied network security hardening and service boundaries to protect content delivery and platform access
